Chamonix Maps and Guide Books

Guide Books

Here I have recommended two books (one is a set) which we used for the holiday. There are some other general books on the Alps which I have yet to read, and will add when I have done so. The book by Gaston Rebuffat is an excellent book for picking up ideas for routes, whilst the guide by Griffin is more like the `normal` climbing guide.

Maps

There are only two maps required to cover the routes included in this holiday. The second one is only needed to cover the descent of the Gouter Ridge on Mont Blanc. Both are of scale 1:25,000 (1cm = 250m).
